Nestled in the heart of historic downtown Braselton, The Galloping Galette is a cozy creperie that brings a taste of France to Northeast Georgia. Housed in the beautifully restored 1904 Braselton Brothers Department Store at 9924 Davis Street, Suite 7, this local favorite restaurant blends small-town warmth with authentic French flair. From the moment guests step through the door, they’re greeted by the inviting aroma of fresh crepes and the welcoming smiles of owners, Viviane and Yannick, who hail from Brittany, France region. Their passion for French cuisine shines through in every detail -- from the fresh ingredients to the open kitchen where you can watch each galette come to life. The menu celebrates the simple beauty of traditional French cooking. Savory buckwheat galettes, naturally gluten-friendly, are filled with flavorful ingredients such as ham, Swiss cheese, and creamed leeks in the popular La Jardinière. Diners can also create their own custom galette, choosing from an array of meats, vegetables, and cheeses. For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert crepes are a must. Favorites like the La Chocolat -- layered with homemade chantilly cream, chocolate syrup, and almonds or make your own with their homemade caramel sauce! Whichever crepe you choose, it’s guaranteed to be a delightful afternoon indulgence. Reservations are available and walk-ins are always welcome! |
