FBI Seeks Potential Victims in Hidden Camera Investigation Across Northeast Georgia

The FBI has launched an online portal for potential victims following a hidden-camera investigation involving public restrooms in Gwinnett, Jackson and Oconee counties.

Federal investigators are asking anyone who may have unknowingly been recorded by hidden cameras in public restrooms or at high school athletic events across North Georgia to come forward.

The FBI says its investigation uncovered a collection of hidden-camera videos believed to have been recorded inside public restrooms in Gwinnett, Jackson and Oconee counties between February 2024 and March 2026.  Federal investigators say the case involves the exploitation of minors, mainly boys, and are working to identify potential victims.

Authorities have not released the identities of potential victims but say the recordings may have been made in public restroom facilities as well as during high school sporting events.

Investigators say a suspect has been charged at the state level in connection with the possession of illegal material involving children.

Because many of the individuals captured on the videos may have no idea they were recorded, the FBI is encouraging anyone who believes they could have been impacted to contact investigators.

The agency says every report could provide valuable information as the investigation continues and help identify additional victims.  All victim identities will be kept confidential.

As part of the investigation, the FBI has established an online resource where potential victims or their parents or legal guardians can review known dates and securely submit information to investigators.
