⚠️ Expect darkness, flashing and strobe lights, loud noises, fog, confined spaces and sudden scares.

Buford Trail of Terror

πŸ“ 7650 Lanier Islands Parkway, Buford, GA

πŸ“… Select nights through November 7

πŸ’² General admission starts at $34.99

After a hiatus, the Buford Trail of Terror is back for 2026 — and this time it's on Lake Lanier.

The new lakeside location features an open-air haunted experience with more than a dozen scary scenes and characters ranging from psycho clowns to creepy pirates and creatures inspired by Lake Lanier lore.

There's also food, a full bar and live entertainment, making this more than a quick walk through a haunted attraction.

On select nights, younger visitors can experience a less-intimidating version of the trail while it's still light outside before the regular scares begin.

DETAILS

πŸ‘» GHOSTS, LEGENDS & HAUNTED HISTORY

Not into chainsaws and jump scares? These experiences take a different approach to Halloween.

Haunted Lake Lanier Tour & Paranormal Investigation

πŸ“ Lake Lanier

πŸ“… Sundays: October 4, 11, 18 & 25 | Additional dates November 1 & 8

πŸ•’ 7:25–9:30 PM

πŸ’² $50 per person | Groups of 4–10

This may be one of the most unusual Halloween experiences on our list.

Instead of walking through a haunted house, you'll head onto Lake Lanier after dark for a boat ride combining local history, legends and a paranormal investigation.

The approximately two-hour experience explores stories connected to the lake, including the Lady in Blue and other local lore, before incorporating an investigation on a reportedly haunted island.

This isn't designed as a traditional haunted attraction with actors jumping out at you. It's more history, mystery and paranormal adventure.

The operator recommends the public tours for adults.

Lawrenceville Ghost Tours

πŸ“ Lawrenceville Arts Center - 128 East Pike Street, Lawrenceville, GA

πŸ“… Through November 1

πŸ’² Adults from $20 | Children from $15

Take a nighttime walk through one of Gwinnett County's oldest cities while hearing stories about local legends, paranormal encounters and some of the stranger chapters in Lawrenceville's history.

Tours run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during most of October, with additional nightly tours during Halloween week.

Haunted Cemetery Tour

πŸ“ Historic Lawrenceville Cemetery

πŸ“… September 26–November 1

πŸ•’ 8:00 PM on scheduled tour nights

πŸ’² From $25

πŸ”¦ Ages 13+

Ready to turn the creepy factor up a little?

This 90-minute nighttime experience travels from the Lawrenceville Arts Center to the Historic Lawrenceville Cemetery.

Along the way, guides share stories about people buried there and the cemetery's reportedly paranormal history. Guests are encouraged to bring cameras, audio recorders and even paranormal investigation equipment.

You'll walk about 1½ miles, including uneven ground, so closed-toe walking shoes and a flashlight are required.

πŸš— WORTH THE DRIVE

If you're looking for a bigger Halloween night out, these attractions are farther from Braselton but may be worth putting on the calendar.

Four Scythes Haunted Attraction

πŸ“ Cumming Fairgrounds - 235 Castleberry Road, Cumming, GA

πŸ“… October 8–18, 23–24 & 30–31

πŸ’² $20 October 8–18 | $30 October 23–24 & 30–31

Four Scythes is a nonprofit haunted attraction built and operated largely by volunteers, with proceeds benefiting local charities and organizations.

For 2026, visitors can experience the Haskills Homestead and Haskills Meats Slaughterhouse.

On October 23–24 and 30–31, the experience expands with the outdoor Carnival of Screams, plus live bands, food and additional entertainment.

One thing to know: during the Cumming Country Fair & Festival, October 8–18, an additional $10 fair admission is required.

Not recommended for children under 12.

Zombie Farms Haunted Trail

πŸ“ 568 Smithonia Road, Winterville, GA

πŸ“… October 3, 9–10, 16–17, 23–24 & 30–31

πŸ•’ Halloween Forest opens at 7:30 PM | Main trail begins at 7:45 PM

πŸ’² $33–$35 depending on the night

This isn't just a haunted house. It's a ¾-mile walk through dark woods filled with elaborate horror sets, scenes, characters and live actors.

Zombie Farms changes its storyline and scares each season, so even people who have visited before can experience something different.

If Halloween isn't enough, Zombie Farms returns November 6–7 for Dead in the Dark, an extra-scary lights-out version of the experience that's not recommended for anyone under 16.

NETHERWORLD Haunted House

πŸ“ 1313 Netherworld Way, Stone Mountain, GA

πŸ“… Select nights through November 7

πŸ’² General admission starts at $25, with prices varying by date

If you want to go BIG for Halloween, this is the one most people around Atlanta know.

NETHERWORLD is celebrating its 30th season in 2026 with two haunted attractions: Curse of the Collector and Beyond Oblivion: Legacy of Evil.

The property also includes outdoor entertainment, roaming monsters, a monster museum and escape rooms that can be purchased separately.

Tickets are sold for specific dates and timed-entry windows, so advance planning is a good idea.

Folklore Haunted House

πŸ“ 5389 N. Main Street, Acworth, GA

πŸ“… Select nights through November 7

πŸ’² General admission from $29.99

One ticket gets you into two different haunted houses: Winters Estate and Maze of Madness.

The experience also includes the Midway of Mayhem, entertainment and other Halloween activities. Both haunted attractions have been updated for the 2026 season.

For the truly brave, November 6 & 7 are Blackout Nights. The lights go out and groups have to navigate the attractions with a single glow stick.

Not recommended for children 12 and under.
