One of the biggest international events on Braselton's annual calendar is just around the corner, and for the first time, the Town of Braselton is launching Braselton Race Fest 2026, a new community celebration designed to kick off one of the year's most anticipated racing weekends by bringing residents, visitors and motorsports enthusiasts together in the heart of downtown.

The inaugural event will take place Wednesday, September 30, from 6 - 9 pm on the Braselton Town Green. More than just another community festival, Race Fest is an opportunity to celebrate Braselton's unique connection to one of the country's premier road racing destinations while showcasing everything that makes downtown such a special place to gather.

Race Fest also celebrates the rich motorsports heritage that has helped put Braselton on the map. The late Dr. Don Panoz - founder of Chateau Elan, former owner of Road Atlanta and creator of the iconic Petit Le Mans endurance race - launched the event in 1998 after being inspired by the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans in France.

Today, racing fans from around the world travel to Braselton each fall for one of the most prestigious endurance races in North America.

The evening will feature a parade of race cars that have competed on track at Road Atlanta, giving fans a rare opportunity to see and hear these incredible machines up close and personal.

Visitors can also enjoy live music by Good Measure, browse local vendors, get an up-close look at race cars, enjoy family-friendly activities and enter to win giveaways throughout the evening. Downtown restaurants and businesses are expected to join in the celebration, creating an energetic atmosphere throughout the district.

For long-term residents, Race Fest represents something many have hoped to see for years - a way to bring the excitement of one of Braselton's biggest weekends into downtown and create a celebration the entire community can enjoy together.
