Chateau Elan Winery Brings Home National Best of Class Honor

Braselton has another reason to raise a glass. Chateau Elan Winery has earned a prestigious national honor, bringing well-deserved recognition to one of the community’s most iconic destinations.

The winery’s 2024 Sauvignon Blanc Reserve was named Best of Class, rising above hundreds of competitors from across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Braselton Enters a Period of Transition

The Town of Braselton faces a leadership shift as longtime town manager Jennifer Scott was placed on paid administrative leave following a council vote on January 16.

Scott, who served for 28 years under four mayors, holds the distinction as Braselton’s longest-tenured employee.

The council did not give a public reason for the abrupt move, but appointed Chuck Button, former Gwinnett County manager, as interim replacement.
