Supporting Local Entertainment in Downtown Braselton |
The Wicked Dinner Theater is nearly sold out! Discover why supporting local events helps bring more arts, culture, and entertainment to downtown Braselton. |

There's been a lot of talk lately about what we'd like to see in downtown Braselton. Unique shopping experiences. More live music. More theater. Comedy shows. Art exhibitions. More daytime activities and cultural events. More interesting things to do without having to drive into Atlanta. Well, here's something worth celebrating. This Friday, October 30, The Wicked is coming to the Braselton Civic Center, and there are only a handful of tickets remaining. That's exciting news. Not just for the Producer, Lori Waters, but for anyone who wants to see more arts, culture, and entertainment in our community. This Is What Supporting Local Looks Like We often talk about supporting local businesses, and that's important. However supporting local also means showing up for the people who are willing to create something different. Events like The Wicked don't just happen. Someone has to bring the idea to life. Take the financial risk, organize the entertainment, prepare the food, and hope enough people will buy tickets to make it worthwhile. In this case, it's Leather & Lace Events bringing a unique dinner theater experience to downtown Braselton. And the community is responding. A Sold-Out Show Sends a Message When an event sells out, or comes close, it tells organizers something important - there's an audience here. People are willing to spend money on unique experiences close to home. They're interested in more than the usual dinner reservations or weekend routines. And that matters. Because when organizers see that a community supports live entertainment, it gives them more confidence to bring additional experiences to the area. Maybe next time it's a jazz concert. A comedy show. Another theatrical performance. Or something completely unexpected. The possibilities are exciting. And Look How Easy We Have It One of the best things about enjoying an event in Downtown Braselton is the convenience. There's no long drive into Atlanta. No expensive parking garages. No fighting traffic just to get home afterward. Parking is free, and the Braselton trolley can drop you right in Downtown. And Friday's event includes a meal prepared by Leather & Lace Catering under the direction of Executive Chef, Heather Pace, along with a live cabaret-style performance by the Leather & Lace Stars under the direction of Sloane Myles. It's a complete evening out, right here in our own community. Let's Keep This Going Last week, we talked about the possibility of making downtown Braselton a destination for arts and culture. |
