Something interesting is brewing in Downtown Braselton, and it looks like April 2027 could bring a couple of surprises!

One involves live music and a whole new way to experience downtown. The other is a familiar annual celebration that's getting a fresh makeover.

Both are being planned by Braselton's Downtown Development Authority (DDA), and while some details are still under wraps, there's already plenty to look forward to.

April 24: Braselton's First Porch Fest

Imagine strolling through Downtown Braselton on a beautiful spring afternoon, hearing live music drifting through the streets. Around one corner, there's a guitarist playing on a front porch. A little farther down, another band is getting ready to perform.

And the best part? You can wander from one performance to the next - all throughout downtown.

Sounds like a pretty fun way to spend a Saturday, doesn't it?

Well, something like that is coming to Braselton!

Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 24, 2027, because Downtown Braselton is planning its very first Porch Fest!

The DDA is working on a new event that will turn front porches at multiple downtown locations into stages for live music.

Instead of gathering everyone around one big stage, Porch Fest will spread the entertainment throughout downtown, creating a walkable music experience featuring an assortment of bands and performers.

One of the things that makes a Porch Fest special is its relaxed, neighborhood feel.

You can explore, discover different styles of music and enjoy the atmosphere as you go. You'll be able to stop at local shops, grab something to eat and enjoy a drink along the way!

It's the kind of event that encourages people to slow down, explore and experience downtown in a different way.

Details about participating locations, performers and the event schedule haven't been announced yet, but the date is definitely one to put on your calendar!

April 30: A New Twist on Toast to Braselton

Just six days later, another Downtown tradition is getting ready for a change.

The DDA's annual Toast to Braselton gala is scheduled for Friday, April 30, 2027, and organizers are planning something different this time around.

In recent years, the popular fundraising event featured a casino theme. But for 2027, the DDA is exploring new ideas and looking to give the celebration a fresh direction.

Exactly what that means is still a bit of a mystery.

Several concepts are being considered, and organizers are working through the possibilities before announcing the new theme.

What isn't changing is the purpose behind the celebration.

Toast to Braselton is the DDA's major annual fundraiser, helping support the programs and initiatives that contribute to downtown's continued growth and vitality.

It's an opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a special evening and support the association that supports Downtown Braselton!

And with a new theme in the works, we're curious to see what organizers have planned!

Two Dates Worth Remembering

April 24 and April 30, 2027.

Two different events, two different experiences and two more reasons to spend time in Downtown Braselton. From a brand-new music festival to the area and a familiar celebration with a fresh twist, it's exciting to see new ideas taking shape.
